Description

Das Seminar untersucht zentrale Entwicklungen des Musiktheaters von seinen klassischen Grundlagen bis in die Gegenwart. Ausgehend von einer historischen Einführung (u. a. anhand von Mozarts Werken) werden anhand exemplarischer Werke u. a. von Georg Friedrich Haas, Gordon Kampe und Sarah Nemtsov kompositorische Tendenzen, dramaturgische Neuerungen und ästhetische Konzepte analysiert und in Beziehung zur traditionellen Operngeschichte gesetzt. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Verbindung von Partiturarbeit und dramaturgischem Denken, um strukturelle, klangliche und szenische Besonderheiten zeitgenössischen Musiktheaters zu verstehen.
